About the Bishop Lynch Guidance Department

Bishop Lynch is home to nearly 300 National Merit Scholars, has been named the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools (TAPPS) Academic State Champions  for the past five years, and for nine consecutive years has been recognized as overall TAPPS State Champions for combined excellence in academics, athletics, and the arts. Known for its ability to challenge students of all talents and backgrounds, and due to the school's college-preparatory curriculum, virtually 100 percent of graduates attend institutes of higher learning. Millions of dollars in scholarships are awarded yearly to Bishop Lynch students from such prestigious schools as Wellesley College, Vanderbilt University, Notre Dame, and the United States Military Academies.

Proud of both its heritage and tradition, the mission of Bishop Lynch High School is to teach students "to strive for excellence, to seek truth, and to work for justice in the world." To see that each student emerges from their time at BL with a well-rounded experience, Bishop Lynch offers first-rate academics, including the largest dual-enrollment program (50 available courses) of any private school in the State of Texas.
